Ten Years Ago:
July 1998  - I was 4 months pregnant with dd living Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton just minutes from beautiful California beaches.

Five Things on Today's To-Do List:

1. Pick up my niece from the airport
2. Go running
3. Go to Archivers
4. Order pizza for dinner so dh can pick it up on his way home from work
5. Order books from Amazon

Snacks I Enjoy:
Strawberries/blueberries combo, almonds, nectarines, Baked Scoops and salsa, granola bar

Things I Would Do If I Was a Millionaire:
Travel. Move to San Francisco. Invest. More travel.

Born in Pensacola, FL. Moved...Houston, TX, New Orleans, LA, Pensacola, FL, New River, NC, Irvine, CA, Tustin, CA, Oceanside, CA, Simi Valley, CA, Fresno, CA, Cincinnati, OH (jeez...that's a lot of moving. Mostly military moves. It's a good thing I like change.)

An ode to...

My favorite bold coffee is Starbuck's Komodo Dragon just coffee, no cream or sugar extra hot. Touch of flavored coffee would be a grande, double, 2 pump, nonfat, pumpkin spice latte. Although I have my favorites I love to try new coffees, different companies, different grinds, different ways to brew.

You have the house to yourself. Everyone is gone. The whole day is yours. What do you do? What are those comfort things you turn to when you get YOU time, what things do you enjoy?

I would wake up my regular time 4:45 but I wouldn't go to the gym until 8:00. Nice break from 5:00! I would enjoy my coffee while playing on the computer. After the gym and shower, I would scrapbook. Followed by a drive somewhere to take pictures. A random never before photographed by me place. A little lunch and Starbucks with a good book or magazines. Scrap until time to pick up Alec and Alyssa from school. Perfection!

Everything!!! I'm so grateful to have a space that is my own. A space to do as I wish. My studio (and everything in it) makes me totally happy!

Why is it your fave color? What do you like about it?

PINK! Different shades, great color combinations...what's not to love! OK...just a little more. It's more than a favorite color. This color represents changes I've made and the "me" I've become. As pretty much a not-too-long-ago basic black, white, brown kind of person I can now look into my closet and see color and patterns! And...I can actually wear them! The walls in my house are no longer all white nor are they all the same color! Color has come into my world in a big way and I love it! So you see, PINK is more than a favorite color!

1. He is an amazing tech geek.
2. As a pilot for the USMC his helicopter once caught on fire while transporting reporters from a ship in Monterey Bay, CA and he ended up on reality TV shows.

Today's (((Bloggers))) challenge at 2 Peas is...

Do you want to convert your real life non-scrapper friend into scrapbookers? Not particularly. I like things the way they are. I'm really a me-time-at-home-in-my-studio kind of scrapper. But, if a friend asks I'm more than happy to help them with questions, ideas, getting started, etc.

Do you find friends that scrapbooks? If so, how? Not really.

Do you show your pages to someone who doesn't scrapbook? Yes, family and anyone that asks to see my albums/layouts. Even non-scrappers like to see the albums!

Do you think you avoid topic about scrapbooking because your non-scrapper friend just don't get it? I don't necessarily avoid it. It just never comes up. How I can spend so much time in my studio or how I can get so excited about pattern paper, textured cardstock, ribbons, completed mini albums...they just don't get it and that is ok.
