After months and months of workups and 6 months of deployment, Chad was coming home.

The first sight of aircraft finally made it feel real.

 

Waiting! Landing and shutting down all of the aircraft seemed like it took forever.

 

There he is!

 

 

 

 

 

If you look real close you can see the smile on his face. I will remember that forever.

Outside my window... it's dark and quiet

I am thinking... not much of anything. Just enjoying the quiet of early morning.

I am thankful for... Chad, Alec and Alyssa

I am wearing... pajamas

I am remembering... my son's Fall Sports Banquet last night and how proud I am of him

I am going... to create 3 12x12 layouts to frame for our library

I am reading...Born of Night

I am hoping... for no migraine today. I'm still recovering from yesterday.

On my mind... now that Cross Country season is over and Alyssa is no longer in physical therapy I can run more often and  more regularly

13 Things Right Now

1. I love the feelings, colors and freshness of the arrival of Fall.

2. I'm excited to start a new online class today. A direction for telling the stories I keep putting off. Ali Edwards' YesterdayToday  
3. I've always had a good relationship with my son, but right now we connect unlike ever before. Love this.
4. I want to go back to school to get my doctorate in education.
5. I tend to go to extremes so I'm making a conscious effort to find balance in my life. 

6. I constantly make lists.
7. I started blogging in September of 2005. 4 years of Life...as I see it!
8. When life gets crazy busy husband and wife time is hard to find, but so important.
9. I put release dates of new books on my calendar.
10. I'm going to go to the midnight opening of New Moon .
11. I'm loving digital scrapbooking. Lately I have been wondering if I could ever go all digital. At one time I thought never.
12. Chad's love and support can get me through anything.
13. Although my mood has been [I'm not even sure what the word is] life is good and I have so many things to be grateful for.
