Possibilities. Promise.
(Prompt from Tracey Clark's Picture Winter at Big Picture Classes)
For days I've had this song, by Michael Jackson, stuck in my head. And I feel like there is a reason.
2010 is coming to an end and that means 2 things. 1) I needed to decide on my One Little Word (inspired by Ali Edwards beginning in 2007) for 2011 and 2) pick a year-long photography project. Last Thursday morning at a time when I wasn’t even really thinking about either of these I came up with a plan.
My One Little Word for 2011 is
My year-long photography project [and challenge] for 2011 is One Little Word | Captured.
EMBRACE [who I am] was inspired mostly by something that happened recently that made me truly realize my unattainable quest for perfection sabotages of my efforts, joy and accomplishments and not long after that I overheard my son ask his dad, "why do you think mom doesn't like pictures of herself?".
Also inspired by 3 women that I have followed closely for more than a year that were instrumental in getting me here. To this point in my life. Tracey Clark. Brene Brown. Ali Edwards.
This is where you come in. Do you have One Little Word for 2011? Maybe a goal(s) you wish to accomplish? Share your journey. Your accomplishments. Your struggles and maybe even frustrations.
Join me beginning in January for 52 weeks of a photographic interpretation of what One Little Word | Captured means to you. A deliberate approach. Support, motivate and encourage each other throughout the year. Get the details here > One Little Word | Captured
Do you have a word for 2011? A goal? Intentions?
Now my Wordless Wednesday
Finally making the time to play with textures using Kim Klassen's Photoshop Skinny Mini E-Course.
Happy Wednesday!
Wordless Wednesday: Friday Evening
Lately I've been thinking about 2010. What I have accomplished. What I didn't accomplish. Joys. Frustrations. How my yearly goals keep me on track. Recently I've had 2 people tell me, "Jill, you can't do it all. Seriously." Something to think about before I set new goals for 2011. Take a realistic look at what I expect from myself.
Wordless Wednesday: Learning How to Skip Rocks. Classic. The significance of a simple moment.
What is your Wordless for the week?
