The economy hitting close to home.
As hard as I try, there are some times when being positive or finding "the bright side" seems impossible. After spending 3 hours at the gym last night I realized I can only work out so long or run so far. All in my attempt to avoid. To stop thinking just for a while.
So, I thought this would be the perfect time to share a few 2009 Project Gratitude photos. A little reminder to myself.
Week 8: iMac
Week 7: Blue Skies
Week 6: My Studio
The rest of the photos and what will become the journaling can be seen in this album 2009 Project Gratitude. Keeping it all simple and doable :)
what's going on Jill? what do u need to stop thinking about? Are u guys ok?? I'm here.. hugs bonnierose

Came over from TwoPeas...I love the idea of photographing what you are grateful for - what a great visual reminder.

Just went through your gratitude photo journal...WOW! You have taken some amazing photos! I love the idea. You've inspired me to work toward focusing more on the positives in my life. BTW, I LOVED what you wrote about your hubby attending the cheer competitions and Alyssa noticing. My daughter was one of the lucky few who always had her dad on the sidelines and it never went unnoticed. Give Chad a big "'atta Boy!" from me! Hope things start looking up for you. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Great pictures! I agree, there is only so much one can do to quiet the mind.

It is frustrating all around and, you are right, we can't hide from it. But thank you for sharing your gratitude photos. We do have reasons to be thankful even in such difficult times.

Jill! I blogged the other day about the same thing. I wish more bloggers could feel comfortable talking about negative feelings, cuz we all have them and they don't magically disappear by us saying to ourselves, "I cannot let this get me down." They block our energy flows and need to be dealt with. I read that amazon is doing well so I 100% hope and pray that means Chad is, too. And that your school district is hanging in there also. When bad times hit locally, I try to remember that up until just a few decades ago, a hard life was the norm! Ya just haveta put your nose down and push that grindstone sometimes. Oh, and I watch Glen Beck every day...he helps me feel like I am not alone on the bigger national stuff, which I am not even going to mention because I'm pretending to be a lady right now... :-)))
xoxo & {hugs} all round,
Aimes
