Thursday 13: 13 Stores I Want to Tell
Inspired by Ali Edwards
- Yesterday - Compare/contrast me in my 20s and 30s. Becoming the person I always wanted to be. (photos of me from both time periods)
- Yesterday - Family resemblances. (baby pictures of me, Chad, Alec and Alyssa)
- Yesterday - Chad and I before kids. (multi-photos)
- Yesterday - My love of school and why. (school age photos)
- Yesterday - Being the wife of a military officer. (random photos from that time in my life)
- Yesterday - What I remember (random photos of childhood)
- Today - What "the 4 of us" means to me. (random family photos)
- Today - Right now relationships with Alec at 12 and Alyssa at 10. (individual photos of me with Alec and Alyssa)
- Today - Why I run. (random running photos)
- Today - What I think about being married (random photos of Chad and I and an enlarged wedding photo)
- Today - My relationship with my dad. (multi- yesterday and today photos of dad and I)
- Today - Me right now at 42. (multi- yesterday and today photos of me)
- Today - Words of wisdom for Alec and Alyssa (not sure about photos yet)
From a few weeks of thinking off and on and 10 minutes of brainstorming this is the starting point for my Yesterday and Today project.
Loving this class :)
What are the stories you want to tell? What do you want people to know about you and the life you lived?

I'm looking forward to seeing this project move forward - is this a class you're taking? A great idea for artists too! (I actually did a series of sketches of me in each decade which you can see on my @NormLchallenged twitter background) so I'm sort of doing the same thing.
Even a sketch I have on this week's TT post could be used as a family portrait since my dog and cat are my family, lol. But maybe not. . . Cat was such a pill that my TT this week became 13 Lessons for New Cat Owners and My Sympathies As Well!
Happy TT!

A great way to take stock and see for yourself the growth of so many things, and the solid comfort of the things that don't need to change.

That's a great list, but one I'd have to give lots of thought to. I honestly don't know what I'd like to tell right now!
Happy T13!

Wow. I'm not sure I could even begin to break it down so easily -- this class is really inspiring you to think a lot.
I'm going to have to mull this over... probably via some fiction, which is how I do my best thinking!

Sounds like a wonderful class!!! I wanted to take it, but not quite in the budget! Bit I've been thinking and journaling about what kind of legacy I have had and what I want to leave for my family!!! Don't you just love scrapbooking and all it brings!!!

Your list is a great starting point for any of us that want to capture memories. It is such a challenge to put a life on paper.
