Team-Up Thursday: Out of Focus
This week Tina and I focused on not focusing. Or as with Tina's photo using out of focus by design with depth of field.
My photo is once again a running image. I love how the out of focus emphasizes the movement and speed of Alec crossing the finish line. I immediately noticed the effect of the gradual out of focus for Tina's family photo.
About this time every year I begin to feel overwhelmed and not very productive. Feeling like everything I want to do is falling short. It lasts about a week or so and then summer break starts and I'm able to regroup and move forward feeling happy and less stressed.
Thursday 13 : How I Spend My Time
- A regular training schedule for a marathon in 18 weeks.
- Support (support as in running with him) Alec in starting his pre-training for cross country.
- Scrapbook more often.
- Mom time.
- Wife time.
- Read.
- Strength train at least once a week.
- Work.
- Time with friends.
- Take Alyssa to cheer practice and everything that goes with having a daughter in competitive cheer.
- Blog throughout the week.
- Build a web site for my Alyssa's cheer squad.
- And then there is sleep. I'd rather not but it seems as if I have to sleep.
How do you spend your time? What do you do when you begin to feel overwhelmed and not very productive.
Love the two out-of-focus shots. Interesting how the three-person grouping is in focus toward the farther subject, when usually the reverse is true. Makes for a sense of discovery while looking at the photo.
Reading over your list, it's definitely a full and varied schedule. When you think of all you're doing, it's amazing! That's what I tell my husband when he gets down about his limitations (he has bipolar disorder.) I always focus on what I've done, not what I haven't done. I'm also not a list maker. Lists, to me, set people up to feel like they haven't accomplished enough, because people always put too many things on their lists. I prefer to turn around and survey what it is I've been up to.

I have trouble managing my time, esp. when feeling overwhelmed. I either have too much time on my hands or not enough. Something I need to work.
Some things I do that are calming, though include reading, Tai Chi, playing video games and nature walks.

You're giving me the urge to get out there and get more exercise. Easier said than done when it's raining right now. I know, I know. Do it anyway.

Sleep is so overrated, isn't it? Ha! Your list exhausted me just reading it!
Great list!

I've been trying to get out and do more walking, now the weather is warming up again. Some days it's difficult to get motivated, though.

i am impressed at the way your out-of-focus shot captured the motion. it's good that you put in "sleep" on your list. after all those activities there, your body would be begging for a little rest. :)
if you have time, please check out my thursday 13 here. thanks :)

That out of focus shot is cool. It effectively shows the motion! As to how I spend my time, I wish I did not need sleep, too! I'd like to make time to read more for relaxation as opposed to information/need.
