Day 1
Journaling Prompt: Write a letter to yourself.
Yes, I wrote the letter. Still not sure if I want to share the details.
Random Word Prompt: Ivory
Day 2
Journaling Prompt: Do you shy away from calling yourself an artist?
I don't consider myself an artist. Oddly I have photos that I consider artistic but in my mind that doesn't make me an artist. Maybe I've never really given it much thought. I create with photos simply because it's what I love to do. It's my medium of choice.
Random Word Prompt: Picnic
Day 3
Journaling Prompt: It’s possible that certain elements come into play which you might consider your “creative opposition” {i.e.: people, things, thoughts, or life situations which seemingly work against your creative goals} or as Maegan refers to "creative buzz kills". Name some of your biggest creative buzz kills, including a person or two, and disarm them!
This one is easy and takes very little initial insight. My creative opposition is...me! Now that I think about it that is pretty much my only creative buzz kill. Maybe time but even that doesn't feel like an opposition. Sometimes inconvenient but not an opposition. So now on to the task of disarming me.
Random Word Prompt: Multilayered
As I continue this creative journey. This attempt to disarm myself as a creative opposition. My thoughts come back to my goal of looking through the lens with a creative eye. A little less literal. Yes, that is what I'll try for the next few days.
Love your interpretation, Jill :) Today should bring out that "less literal" stuff! Looking forward to your day.

I think your shots are very artisic and therefore you are an "artist" - I said so so it must be true!!
I really like how you're captured 3 days worth into succinct sentences - I find myself rambling on!

Perfect catch-up! Love the flare in the second shot!

Hi, Jill. I'm with you on the artist thing. I've lately begun to prefer "craft artist" and even "art crafter" for what I do. Enjoy your class. I have to giggle at Chad's foot sock to run in, and were that Alec's foot, I'd tell you I think I know what the attraction is...but, it's Chad, not Alec, so... Back in high school, I dated a cross-country varsity member and they were all eat up with wanting to run barefoot in training. My boyfriend said it made him feel like he was floating on air at times. They trained on dirt tracks and grass mostly, so it was easier to do. Track guys did not share that, only C-C guys. For what it's worth....winkwink.

Bonjour, Jill! Thank you for visiting my little world and sending such sweetness my way...I love photography and I like to group shots as if I were telling a story...creating a collage~like how I see life having so many snapshots that I can treasure for a lifetime...I still have to work on the writing aspects of this journey...I like how you interpret each assignment, esp. admitting that the creative opposition is YOU...that is a great revelation! I admire the beauty you have captured in your shots too...esp. the picnic shot...I love how the light reflects on the grass and onto each glass...just like how light can shine off you and reflect onto others! Thanks again for the kind comment + looking forward to seeing more of the beauty you create! Jo

I really like all of them. There is a simple elegance to them, in a very good way. Love the shot of the pearls and the reflection.

Your photos are beautiful! I can relate to your biggest artistic block. I think I am my own worst enemy sometimes. I love the Twilight t-shirt. What type of iron on material did you use? My daughter wants to make t-shirts this summer using album artwork from her favorite bands.

Linda,
We used Office Max Iron On T-Shirt Transfers for Inkjet Printers with cotton Ts from Michaels. Using album artwork is a great idea for designing t-shirts.
