Happily, without thinking twice and without hesitation. Always.
- Leave the house 20 minutes earlier than I have to so I can drive Alec to school.
- Wake up at 4:30 to have "me" time. That leaves the evenings open for family time.
- Share ponytail holders knowing they will disappear and I'll have to buy yet another new pack.
- See more kid movies than adult movies.
- Stay up all night, if needed, with a sick child even if you have to work the next day.
- Become a fan of the Transformers movies.
- Learn about football and more specifically the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- Take turns choosing radio stations in the car knowing I may not be a fan of what is chosen.
- No matter what I'm doing make time for "Mom can we talk in private?"
- Take turns choosing restaurants.
- Your heart seems to stop just for a second when the school calls during the day.
- Share what is on your plate. Even if it is the last bite.
- Make sure there is enough time in the morning when Alyssa asks "Will you put my hair up?"

Team Up Thursday: Work
This week Tina, at Just A Minute of My Time, and I took our cameras to work. Tina happens to be married to her boss. Her shot on top is a peek at her husband's business. My shot is from the playground. This week's theme reminded me that I have worked with children my entire adult life. And as a psychologist in a school district I combine psychology, working with children and an academic environment which, I think, is the perfect combination.
Yes, I like your list. You could add "no more private bathroom time" or "talking on the phone without an 'emergency'."

Wonderfully true list.

A great list as always! I love the pony-tail holder one. It's like the same conspiracy as the missing sock!

I can relate to so much of your list - though I wish I could be more selfless and generous in how I do these things....
Great perspective on the playground shot xx

Kids really do teach us to take turns. Those ponytail holders disappear like socks! I appreciate that these are the sweet little things we do as moms.

Wonderful post Jill. Incidentally, I found a great new shirt at Target today with the Transformers on it. When I showed it to Owen he lit up and said, "Cool! I like that one Mama!" O hasn't seen the transformers movies but he has couple of the figures.

I love this list, so. Especially the Transformers bit. Oy, that's been rough!
