After the basic edits I played with different editing options for getting rid of or at least masking the noise in both photos.
I have often wondered what the key is to sharp photos shared on the web and otherwise. It's unsharp mask and Luminosity blending mode on a duplicate layer. Ashley and Jill, the challenge just keeps getting better and better!
Both edits look fantastic - I especially love that second edit in black and white. Gorgeous!

I think noise adds character & a creative touch - I don't mind it at all!! LOVE both of them...b&w is awesome :)

Thanks Julie. I agree about the noise but for some reason I was determined to reduce the noise.

Those are both great edits! I just love the bright colors but then I look at the BW and it is gorgeous, also! Great job!
