Week Fourteen
I didn't find my flash card so I had to retake week fourteen's photo. I joined Jill's I Am Beautiful Project.

Week Fifteen
I realized that so far the biggest challenge with my OLW, Embrace [who I am], has been to make a conscious effort to not just go through the actions but to actually believe that it's possible. Keep an open mind.
This week was (and still is) a challenge! As of Thursday limitations were forced on me by having to have surgery. No running (that's like telling me I can't eat). Circumstances beyond my control. Frustration. And even embarrassed.
I will get through this. I have a plan. A plan to stay as active as possible. A plan that will keep me strong during recovery.
- I will modify my strength training
- I will modify my diet for the reduced level of activity
- I will remember why I love to run
- I will remind myself that this is temporary
- I will be grateful that I am healthy
- Remember that I didn't do anything to cause this
- Remember that I will be able to run more than 5 miles without pain :)
The remarkable joy of discovering that who I really am is much better than the who I once pretended to be. -John Bingham
What challenges have you faced?
Have a great weekend!
And the link up!
Good for you for having a plan Jill! The surgery is a minor setback - you'll heal and be back to running in no time!

You are beautiful indeed. Great picture! I hope your foot will be better again soon and that you will be able to run like the wind :-)

Thank you Cheri. I know you're right but even "in no time" isn't easy LOL

Oh Jill, just as I shared with you I was in tears with the thought of not running! I love how you always find a positive spin and follow through with it, not just wallow in self pity. You are and inspiration and you are beautiful! What a great picture!

Hi Tina.
Thanks. I've had my moments of tears from the frustration of it all. Some days having a positive attitude is a challenge but the self pity is exhausting LOL How is everything going with you? Better I hope.
