One Little Word | Embrace [who I am]
One little word can have a big impact on your life. A journey shared.
A glimpse of One Little Word 2011. July.
The prompt for July was to create a personal playlist. Meaningful music that connects to your word. I've been doing this for the past 7 months and consistently come back to these 7 songs. My One Little Word playlist (Note: Last minute change to my plans for creating this as a hybrid project. This will give you a general idea of how it will look in the album):
- Don't Stop Believing - Glee
- Perfect - Pink
- Just the Way You Are - Bruno Mars
- We Are Who We Are - Ke$ha
- Born This Way - Lady Gaga
- If Today Was Your Last Day - Nickelback
- What I Am - Will I Am
- ?
- ?
In July, some of the images for One Little Word Captured or my 52 Week Project (self portraits) I focused on not only on how far I have come in 7 months but, how I have made it to this point. What am I doing that moves me closer and closer to liking who I am?
I'm surrounding myself with supportive and loving people in real life and even blogging friends. Smiling and laughing.
I'm taking care of my body. Feeling strong. Feeling empowered. My joy of running.
I'm focusing on nutrition. I've been clean eating for about 5 months and have been amazed by the difference it has made in how I feel and energy level.
That is it. That is a reflection of the past 7 months of my journey.
So, relax, grab a favorite beverage and visit the blog hop blogs for a glimpse of One Little Word 2011.

Those are really great song choices! I am glad that I am not the only one who had a hard time coming up with all 9 songs! Great job and thanks for sharing your olw experience! -Amanda

Love what you have so far - maybe you could do mini versions of these photos in place of the two missing songs?

So glad that you're really learning to embrace yourself! And yay for Clean Eating! My hubs and I have been adopting that lifestyle since the beginning of the year. Do you get the magazine? LOVE it! (it's one of the things I'm focusing on this year with my word, focus.) Blessings as you continue on... :)

Great songs! I've been trying to switch over to Clean Eating for quite some time. I get the magazine and I have read all to the books. I'm still slowly working on changing things and started a binder with my favorite clean recipes to go back to. Thanks for all the inspiration you provide!

Clean eating has been one of my best decisions of 2011! I subscribed but haven't received my first issue in the mail yet. For now, I buy them at the grocery store because I'm too impatient for the sub to start. I'll probably end up with a duplicate just because I'm impatient :)

Hi MonicatB and thanks! I have a recipe binder too. The binder and my Clean Eating Pinterest board and I'm set for weekly menu planning.
