With an 18.81 mile run and a hill I completed...
Part of the Not Over the Hill 5K was to include a hill. I started as a tiny dot at the bottom.
And finished at the top! Non-stop which was, at first, questionable after running 18 miles.
View from the top!
The overall morning run was awesome. The hill? Last year it was a goal to run this hill non-stop but due to a stress fracture it was a goal that wasn't accomplished. As I got closer to the hill and finally at the bottom I thought it's not that big. When I took this picture last year it seemed bigger. Doesn't it? It didn't really matter that it turned out to be not such a big hill after all. It was something I've been wanting to do and I did it!
Today was fabulous!
And a new addition to my quote collection
If one could run without getting tired I don't think one would often want to do anything else. -C.S. Lewis

Thanks Christy! Although it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be it was so much fun accomplishing something I've wanted to do for more than a year :)

Thanks for joining my virtual race. Looks like it was a great hill to do. Isn't that the way things go - when you finally tackle something that's been looming, it's just not as hard as you thought it'd be. Congrats.
Love the picture, it's usually so hard to capture the feel of a hill.

Thanks Claire! We had to drive from running the 18 to where the hill was so I had a few minutes to recover. But I'll take the compliment anyway :)

Thanks Julia. You wouldn't think gorgeous if you saw me right after the 18 LOL This was about 10 minutes after because we had to drive a bit to get to the hill I wanted to run. I'll still take gorgeous :)
