Mid-week review
- The taper. In theory it sounds nice. With the purpose of giving my body a rest before race day.
- The taper. In reality isn't easy. A combination of training for 19 weeks and the excitement of the upcoming race make it difficult to cut back on distance. Like last night. I was supposed to run 5. I ran 6. I felt too good to stop and took full advantage of the perfect running weather.
- I've been using P90X and P90X Plus since October of last year. I love it. It works. And I will undoubtedly be doing the programs again. But, I'm ready for a new strength training program. More specifically P90X2. So excited about the release. Check it out!

Congratulations on your taper --- it means you're almost there!
I hear you on the better weather. I was slated for a 3 mile easy run on Monday -- it felt so awesome to run outside in cooler weather, I ripped out not one, but two miles under 10:30. (that's speed demon territory for me!) Woot!
I'm looking forward to hearing more about your taper, and the upcoming race!

Yay for taper time!!! Who am I kidding? I'm still trying to hit 30 miles this week during my taper! It hasn't been cooler here yet....well the humidity is still holding on. We ran to the beach though and played until the sun was setting! Love it!

so so so true about the taper! i was thinking yesterday how weird it was that 2 months ago i would have given anything for the taper and to be able to run less...now with the pure excitement of race day, etc...its hard to hold back! soon though...so soon!
