In 2011 I've run my first 15K, set a new 5K PR, and next month I'm running my first half marathon.
In 2012 I'm running my first 10K and hoping to get my 5K time under 30 minutes.

Sorry I didn't mean to post that twice-not sure if I can delete it or not so I'll just leave my third entry here: I love all the 13.1 necklaces! This is something I would love to reward myself with after my first half!

I know I've commented on past posts but one of my favorites (that I found today) is the recipe for Lasagna cups!

Goals I accomplished in 2011 - I ran and finished my first half marathon. AND I loved it so much I ran my 2nd. At the end of the month I will run my 3rd! Crazy to think about that when I recall just where I started and the journey that got me here.
What are my 2012 goals?? KEEP.ON.GOING! Going for my weight loss goal and PR some races!

So sorry to hear about your stumble, Jill. I had a similar thing happen in a half-marathon this year. I was running through the water station at mile 6. I felt so stong, and I just knew I was going to get a new PR! A middle schooler cut in front of me to get water and I tripped over his feet, fell on the asphalt and twisted my ankle. I was bloody and could barely walk. The middle schooler on the other hand just took off... he didn't even stop to see if I was all right. The water station attendent informed me that there was no way for them to take me back to the starting line... I would have to walk. On my walk back, a friendly policeman directing traffic for the half-marathon took pity on me and gave me a ride.
I am so glad to hear that you weren't seriously hurt. I was out for 6 weeks... It's so HARD to start over! I have another half-marathon planned for 2012. My goal is to come in under 1:50!

Hi Joni
Fortunately for me it was very temporary but none the less I was so disappointed. Are you back to running now? One of my possible goals for 2012 is to run a half marathon every month and at least one of those come in at or under 2:00. It is hard to start over but I know you can do it and that half PR will be yours! Keep in touch and let me know how you're doing.

Thank you Jen. In the end, beyond the frustration and disappointment, I was happy I gave it my all under the circumstance. I didn't give up :)

I did two half marathons, 2 10ks, two 5 mile races, and six 5ks this year. Probably much the same next year but also hoping to get to do Hood To Coast!
