Welcome to Fitness Friday!
For new participants click [here] for details and to grab the FF button.
It may be hard to believe but there are things I love to do other than run/workout. Are you shocked? It's true.
My "other than running"...
Photography
Some of my favorite shots of 2011
And scrapbooking.
As I think about, set goals and plan 2012 I'm making sure to include time for "other than running." Trying to keep it all balanced. Living with intention. The "happiness" of [Fitness, Health and Happiness].

What is your other than running/working out? What brings you joy? What is worth making the time?
I love photography and scrapbooking too...if only we had more hours in the day!! :)

Great pictures!
I love to knit and play video games. I am also very active in politics in my local area and that takes up a ton of my time.

I love to read and knit. But, neither one get much of my time lately with school work and half-marathon training. Someday. You take some beautiful pictures.

I've always LOVED your GREAT photos, Jill! My daughter and I have gotten into mixed media... so FUN to get messy with paint! I also love to read and have a back log of books on my shelf.
Quick recovery wishes to you!

I blog a lot and life can get so busy so I can so relate to taking time for the other things in life! I love to read and I get upset when it's been too long to settle down with a good book! Hope you are feeling back to you asap!

I love playing with my kids, of course (running around and crafting sorts of things.) But other than that, I love playing with my animals and gardening and trying to teach myself guitar (slowwww going, lol) and I adore singing and reading.
Good idea about setting goals for 2012 ~ I don't typically do that for anything other than exercise. This year, I'm doing it!
Have a great weekend!

Beautiful pictures! I have a hard time finding balance - thanks for the reminder that I need to plan for more than just my "running" future!
Have a great weekend!

I love reading, biking, photography, movies, playing card/board games and trying new recipes.
Hope your weekend is awesome!

Those are great photos! I also love taking photos, as well as reading and cooking, when I get the chance. That's why my blog is all over the place!

I love photography. I really wish I took awesome pictures.
I teach, so that takes up all the time I'm not parenting or running, thinking about running, talking about running or planning to run.

I love photography too! The picture of the running shoes is my favorite (but the others are pretty awesome too!).

Balance and a beautiful hobby, we all need to slow down a bit - wonder pictures, I too love the shoes

More hours in a day or if only we didn't need to sleep :)

Thanks Dina. Very cool being into politics. I feel like I'm up on local and national politics until I talk to my father-in-law. He is into politics big time.

Thank you Carrie. I know what you mean. Running, family and work get most of my time.

Thank you Joni :)
I love the look of mixed media but I find it difficult to wrap my left-brain around pulling it all together. I over think it! I love to read too and at this moment have read everything I own. Barnes & Noble is on my weekend to-do list.

Hi Susie. Feeling better already!! Thanks. Can't run but I'm going back to working out today [with restrictions]. My blogging time is right up there with work, running and family.

Hi Kim. I have set goals/intentions for the past 10 years or so. I'd love to hear about the goals you come up with for next year. I want to plant an herb garden and tomatoes so I may be emailing you with questions :) So cool that you're learning to play guitar!

Thank you Kathy. Balance isn't easy for me either. I tend to find something and go to the extreme...usually marathon training :) If I plan things I'm more likely to do them.
