Thanksgiving. A time for family, friends, and food. Running and shopping too!
For the first second time in the 18 years I've been married I'm not cooking Thanksgiving dinner. This year most of our Thanksgiving dinner will be catered by Whole Foods. At first I wasn't sure about having dinner catered but after Chad and I went to A Taste of Whole Foods Holidays the decision was easy. So delicious!
In addition to the Whole Foods' menu the Conyers' Thanksgiving 2011 will include:
Print this to frame
Thanksgiving Subway Art Printable (via)
Begin the day with a run.
Thanksgiving Day Race 2011 (via)
I will be doing a little bit of cooking to add to our menu...
Roasted Butternut Squash (via)
Unbelievably Healthy Pumpkin Pie (via)
Apple, Walnut Salad with Cranberry Vinaigrette (via)
And a tradition that we started when my daughter was a toddler.
Black Friday Shopping [with my daughter] (via)
We start here
Starbucks (via)

I'm kind of a lame Black Friday Shopper. I always hit Old Navy. I hit them at up at about 9am. Everyone is gone and they are so good about having enough of everything in stock. Good luck this year

Thanksgiving always means a turkey trot.. though this year it will be a different one since I will be at my parent's house! It means Black Friday shopping, but not too crazy! I am also the pie maker for Thanksgiving so I'm interested in your healthy pumpkin pie!
I am intrigued by having Whole Foods do your Thanksgiving. I'm not sure if I would love it or hate it. I would love not having all the work, but miss the cooking, but love not having the clean up, but feel like I'm cheating somehow. I can't wait to hear how it turns out!

I made Thanksgiving one year and it was mostly a Whole Foods dinner....oh and it was delicious! My sister and I spent years doing the Black Friday thing and I can't wait until EM gets older so I can bring her with me! We had more laughs....seriously it was such a blast!!! I'm running my first Thanksgiving race this year....I couldn't be more excited!!!

Hi Amy
I'm looking forward to trying the pumpkin pie recipe. It's from one of my favorite healthy foodies. I know what you mean about loving and hating the catering. It does feel like cheating :)
