One little word can have a big impact on your life. A journey shared.
A glimpse of One Little Word 2011. July.
The prompt for July was to create a personal playlist. Meaningful music that connects to your word. I've been doing this for the past 7 months and consistently come back to these 7 songs. My One Little Word playlist (Note: Last minute change to my plans for creating this as a hybrid project. This will give you a general idea of how it will look in the album):

A glimpse of One Little Word 2011. June.
"Get Out Of Your Head" (I had to laugh when Ali said this in the June video. I thought to myself, how do I do that?)
One Little Word Captured
52 Week Project (self-portraits)
June. I started training for the Chicago Marathon, kids are home for summer break, summer school, cheer practice, sleepovers and just life in general. It's been great! Yes, June was a busy month but my OLW, Embrace [how I am], continues to be a focus. Even if it's not in the forefront of my mind, it's not forgotten. I'm keeping up with my One Little Word Captured photography challenge and weekly self portrait challenge, 52 Week Project. Happy about the sustainability of both of these. And lastly, I'm noticing change. I'm seeing progress. I'm not sure of the whats, whys or hows, but I'm a different person.
So, relax, grab a favorite beverage and visit the blog hop blogs for a glimpse of One Little Word 2011.

Visit 52 Week Project for my first guest post. For 19 (or is it 20) weeks we've been sharing weekly self portraits on flickr. For an inspiration kick I've challenged the 52 week project participants.
This 52 week project has taken me out of my comfort zone of being behind the camera. Check out some of the weekly mosaics.
It's never too late to join 52 Week Project. Whether you're just starting or you can even incorporate the self portraits into you're existing photography projects. If you're interested check out the 52 Week Flickr Group.

A glimpse of One Little Word 2011. A glimpse of Jan - March. (Note: on the 2 up photo pages the top photo is OLW Captured and the bottom photo is my 52 Week Project self portraits)
Keeping it simple and doable. A work in progress.
And a song that my husband, Chad, mentioned to me. A song that reminds me of how he makes me feel. He loves me. The perfectly imperfect me. I just need to decide how I want to include the lyrics in the album.
Feel free to join One Little Word || Captured anytime. Great ideas, support, encouragement and inspiration shared by the participants. While completing each page with photos and journaling I realized that my weekly commitment to capturing EMBRACE is invaluable to the completion of this project. Simply copy and paste the journaling to complete the pages. Click the link or the button above for details.

A group of ladies from Ali Edwards' class, One Little Word, have put together a OLW Blog Hop to share our photos, thoughts, inspirations, experiences and class projects. Each inspired by a personal word for 2011.
All of the following will be put together in an 8.5 x 11 album to capture this experience. This journey.
One Little Word | Embrace [who I am]
One little word can have a big impact on your life. A journey shared.
January
This book is where all of my thoughts and plans for my OLW for 2011 began.
The Words
The Details
In addition to the album I'm creating with Ali's class I am participating in the 52 Week Project, 52 weeks of self portraits. The 52 self portraits will be added to my OLW album. Initially my plan was to include the 4 January self portraits in this post but, my comfort zone is behind the camera and decided that is way too many photos of myself in one post. Visit the 52 Week Flickr Group to see the self portraits shared by the members. It's very cool to see the photos the everyone shares each week.
And last but not least. I'm hosting a weekly One Little Word | Captured photography challenge. Every Saturday I share a photo that somehow depicts my OLW along with a linky for others to share as well. It's been great seeing the photos, reading the words and following the journey's of the participants. Consider joining anytime even if it's not every week. For the challenge details go to One Little Word | Captured.
