Week 19
A running shoe ad campaign, RUNinspired, that I couldn't resist capturing. I added the text to journal an idea of the thoughts that came to mind when I saw the ad.
Wow. We're already at 19 weeks of OLW Captured. What did your word inspire this week?
Time to link up. [And] take a minute to visit the other participant's blogs and leave a comment.

Photos are a combination of 2 weekly challenges:
One Little Word | Captured. It's never too late to join.
And 52 Week Project.
Week 17 (somehow my weeks are off so another week 17)
This week my OLW is about my daughter, Alyssa, who all too quickly is growing up. She listens to everything I say and watches everything I do and that is a part of the person she will become. What am I teaching her?
Last weekend I came to a realization that what I'm saying to my daughter and my actions are in some ways contradictory. So often I've told her "just do you best" or "I'm proud of you no matter what" or "you tried and look what you've accomplished." But, at the same time [insert contradiction] I would never give myself and actually follow the same advice. I wouldn't hear those words as meant for me.
So, if for no other reason, I have to see this through. For her.
One last note. My thoughts this week were not just about my daughter. The same idea applies but in a different way to my son. No doubt I will add a focus on my son, Alec, to my OLW album.
Lastly, I came across this video that fit perfectly with my thoughts this week.
Must see video for all parents.

My OLW is proving to be bigger than I ever expected.

Week 17
Keeping it simple. Thoughts for journaling.
Now the link up! Please take a few minutes to visit the participant's blogs and leave a comment. Your words, support and encouragement go along way.
Week Fourteen
I didn't find my flash card so I had to retake week fourteen's photo. I joined Jill's I Am Beautiful Project.
[Believe]
Week Fifteen
I realized that so far the biggest challenge with my OLW, Embrace [who I am], has been to make a conscious effort to not just go through the actions but to actually believe that it's possible. Keep an open mind.
This week was (and still is) a challenge! As of Thursday limitations were forced on me by having to have surgery. No running (that's like telling me I can't eat). Circumstances beyond my control. Frustration. And even embarrassed.
I will get through this. I have a plan. A plan to stay as active as possible. A plan that will keep me strong during recovery.
The remarkable joy of discovering that who I really am is much better than the who I once pretended to be. -John Bingham
What challenges have you faced?
Have a great weekend!

Week Fourteen
Prevailing thoughts at the moment...
Last week was one of the longest weeks ever!
and
Is it ever going to actually feel like spring? I'm ready for warm weather and sunshine.
and
I"m so glad Chad is home after being out of town all week.
Another quote to add to my album.
"What is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself." -Anna Quindlen
She's right. It is hard. Some days it feels like it's getting easier.

One little word can have a big impact on your life. A journey shared.
A glimpse of One Little Word 2011. A glimpse of Jan - March.
(Note: on the 2 up photo pages the top photo is OLW Captured and the bottom photo is my 52 Week Project self portraits)
Keeping it simple and doable. A work in progress.
And a song that my husband, Chad, mentioned to me. A song that reminds me of how he makes me feel. He loves me. The perfectly imperfect me. I just need to decide how I want to include the lyrics in the album.
Feel free to join One Little Word || Captured anytime. Great ideas, support, encouragement and inspiration shared by the participants. While completing each page with photos and journaling I realized that my weekly commitment to capturing EMBRACE is invaluable to the completion of this project. Simply copy and paste the journaling to complete the pages. Click the link or the button above for details.
