Visit 52 Week Project for my first guest post. For 19 (or is it 20) weeks we've been sharing weekly self portraits on flickr. For an inspiration kick I've challenged the 52 week project participants.
This 52 week project has taken me out of my comfort zone of being behind the camera. Check out some of the weekly mosaics.
It's never too late to join 52 Week Project. Whether you're just starting or you can even incorporate the self portraits into you're existing photography projects. If you're interested check out the 52 Week Flickr Group.
One little word can have a big impact on your life. A journey shared.
A glimpse of One Little Word 2011. A glimpse of Jan - March. (Note: on the 2 up photo pages the top photo is OLW Captured and the bottom photo is my 52 Week Project self portraits)
Keeping it simple and doable. A work in progress.
And a song that my husband, Chad, mentioned to me. A song that reminds me of how he makes me feel. He loves me. The perfectly imperfect me. I just need to decide how I want to include the lyrics in the album.
Feel free to join One Little Word || Captured anytime. Great ideas, support, encouragement and inspiration shared by the participants. While completing each page with photos and journaling I realized that my weekly commitment to capturing EMBRACE is invaluable to the completion of this project. Simply copy and paste the journaling to complete the pages. Click the link or the button above for details.
Thank you for visiting. Look for the April OLW Blog Hop on May 1.

One of my favorite shots for this week's challenge. The texture I used is Pollution and can be found at Shadowhouse Creations. I think I'm even getting a little better at applying textures.
2. Groups of Three
My all time favorite group of three.
3. Kitchen (Self Portrait)
I actually had fun shooting these photos for my cloned self portrait [in the kitchen]. Steps for creating the cloned images can be found at Selfie Magic. I love learning how to do new things!
4. Things that make you go hmmm...
The "makes me go hmmmm..." part of the photo is not the actual magazine. It's the catch phrases that get me every time. My interest and curiosity is peeked when I read FAT BLASTING FOODS or PERKY BUTT and FIRM ARMS. Hmmm...a TIGHT TUSH? Tell me how! HEALTHY MOVIE MUNCHIES? Who wouldn't want to know more. There is a reason the magazines are on racks where you stand in line at the grocery store.
5. Me Time
My favorite photo of this week's hunt. It doesn't matter if I run with Chad, friends, a run club or by myself. Alone or with others this time is for me.
I loved this week's themes. I had fun coming up with ideas, taking the photos and learning something new (cloning) too. And more practice with applying textures. This is a perfect example of why I enjoy photography challenges.
One little word can have a big impact on your life. A journey shared.
I now have a basic plan for my OLW album. Each month I will document Embrace [who I am] with 1- 3x3 divided page protector, 4- self portraits and 4 photos from my weekly photo challenge, One Little Word | Captured. In addition to the photos I will include quotes, journaling from my weekly blog post, and tidbits from day to day life representing my journey. I will also incorporate ideas and inspiration from Ali's class.
Note: My printing didn't arrive in time to have everything photographed for the blog hop. So, for the February blog hop I'm sharing the weekly photos.
Thank you for visiting. Look for the March OLW Blog Hop on April 1.
